JEAN E. ANDERSON DYER, IN Jean E. Anderson (nee Chambers), age 87, of Dyer, IN, formerly of Lansing, IL, passed away February 27, 2008. She is survived by her children: Ingrid (late Bill) Udovich of Dyer, IN, Crystal (Bob) Ruiz of Lansing, IL and Phillip (Rennae) Anderson of Kenosha, WI; grandchildren: Lori (late Hal) Barker, Mark (Heather) Udovich, Susan Udovich, John Ruiz, Rachael (Orin) Burke, Andrew Ruiz, Eric (Charidy) Anderson, Jennifer (Scott) Gooch and Ingrid (Loris) Marien. She was also "Grandma Jean" to Carlene and Mark Dickman, Chris and Dan Owles, Kathie and Harry Carlson and Robert and Mike Ruiz. Great grandmother to Jaclyn, Jenna, Billy, Isabelle, Lisa, Beth, Justin, Lauryn, Jeffrey, Jessie, Owen and Brandon; survived by sister, Everell Boyle; and brother, Keith (Dorothy) Chambers. Preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Anderson; brothers: Murray, Gordon and Eldon Chambers; and sister, Verna Boyle. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 12:00 noon at the First Baptist Church of Lansing, 3440 178th Street, Lansing, IL. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Jean retired from Republic Steel Co. When younger, she loved being involved in many church functions. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, playing the piano and loved returning to her birthplace, Washington Island, WI. Jean will be lovingly remembered by her happy and caring nature.
