CASEY, Jean Ellen (nee Graham) Passed away on August 10, 2013 in her 100th year, daughter of the late Robert Leslie Graham and Lydia Ayles. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Michael Casey. Loved mother of Sandra (Roderick Allan) of Burlington, ON and Karen (Michael Lavigne) of Ottawa. Grandmother of Elizabeth of London, UK; James of Hamilton, ON; and Mary of Ottawa. Great-grandmother of Julia of Palmerston, ON. Fondly remembered by sisters-in-law Edna Graham of Clermont, FL and Dora Graham of Ottawa; cousin Myrtle Woodward of Hampton, NH and 7 surviving nephew and nieces in Ottawa, Clermont FL, Calgary, AB and Pembroke, ON. Predeceased by her sister Evelyn and brothers Wilfred, Kenneth and Ewart. Jean was born in Halifax, NS on June 22, 1914 and with her family survived the Halifax Explosion on Dec. 6, 1917. The family relocated to Churchville, NS and in 1920 moved to Westboro, ON and later Ottawa. Jean was a gentle soul and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her. Our sincere thanks to the caring staff of Grace Manor- Parkdale House. A private interment was held. Friends and family may send donations in Memory of Jean Casey to The Salvation Army, Ottawa Grace Manor, 1156 Wellington St. West, Ottawa, ON K1Y 2Z3.
