May 8, 2006 Jean C. Orton, 74, formerly of Liverpool, went to be with the Lord Monday. Born in Elmira. She was predeceased by her husband, William E., who died in 1980. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Gary) Abbey, Clay; son, William (Debbie) Orton, Fulton; mother, Ruth Hitchcock, Horseheads; brother, Richard Hitchcock, Elmira; sisters, Joan Dygert, Sarasota, FL, Marlene Fudge, Millerton, PA; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; Grandma Jeannie cherished all of her grandchildren. Calling hours will be held 4 to 7 p.m, Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at the Maurer Funeral Home, with a service to follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 300 Second St., Liverpool.
