OWENS, JEAN A. - The death of Jean Alice (Wallace) Owens of 310 Woodward Ave., Saint John, NB, wife of the late George P. Owens, occurred on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Sussex, NB a daughter of the late Harold and Mae (Heenan) Wallace. Jean was a graduate of McGill University and had practiced at the Moncton City Hospital, W.F. Roberts Hospital School in Saint John, D.V.A. Hospital in Saint John and had opened the Physiotherapy Department in the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was a member of St. Pius X Parish. Survived by son, Robert W. (Carol) of Rothesay, NB; daughter, Cynthia (Brian) Trudell of Knoxville, Tenn.; brother, Robert "Bob" (Connie) Wallace of St. Martins, NB; sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Norrad of Sussex; five grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jonathan and Natalie Owens, Mark and Jacqueline Trudell; and several nephews and nieces. Predeceased by a brother, Walter Wallace. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Pius X Church, Somerset St., Saint John on Saturday, April 9, 2005 at 10 a.m. Following cremation interment will take place in Sussex.
