Jean A. Nelsonof VestalJean A. Nelson, 98, of Vestal, died at the Vestal Nursing Center, Wednesday, January 18, 2006. She was predeceased by her husband, E. Douglas Nelson; son, Charles A. Nelson; two sisters, Elizabeth C. Barney and Virginia A. Heath; and a brother, Robert L. Cline. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Jim Goodison, Vestal; a son and daughter-in-law, Clyde (Butch) and Sandy Nelson, Ida, Mich.; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandsons. A mother to three, a grandmother to sixteen, and a mom and grandma to many.Memorial Services will be held Saturday 2 p.m., from Tracy Creek Memorial Church, corner of Knight and Tracy Creek Roads, Vestal. The Reverend John Lucas will officiate. Burial will be in Chenango Valley Cemetery, Hillcrest, N.Y. The family will receive friends at church Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m.
