RAMSAY Jay Robert, 38, passed away Monday, January 14, 2008. Jay was the beloved husband to Kacee “Kathleen” (Cathcart) Ramsay; devoted father to “Deni” Denielle Rose and “Nick” Nicholas Robert Ramsay; loving son to Theresa (DeVito) and Dr. Robert Ramsay of Fernandina Beach; loving brother to Lori Ramsay Long of Erial, New Jersey, Bobby Ramsay of Jacksonville and Billy Ramsay of Tallahassee; loving godfather to Kylie Long and brother-in-law to Marsha Drugan; loving son-in-law to Marietta McConaghy of Turnersville, New Jersey and Jack and Cindy Cathcart of Tampa, FL. Jay was a native of Lansdowne, PA and southern New Jersey, moving with his family to Jacksonville in July 2001. He was a wonderful man, son, brother, husband, father and friend. He worked hard as a successful sales manager with PHH for twelve years and loved and enjoyed his family, friends and the Jacksonville waters where he had some of his best times. Jay was always a kid at heart, loving his Yuengling, his Philadelphia Eagles “Go Birds” and the Florida State Seminoles. Jay will always be remembered and loved. A Memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 19, at Christ the King Catholic Church. A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, January 18, at COREY-KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32211 (904) 744-8422. The family will begin receiving friends at 5:00 PM prior to the Vigil Service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions to be made to the education fund for Denielle and Nicholas Ramsay, making contributions payable to Kathleen Ramsay, c/o Wachovia Securities, LLC, 30 S. 17th St. 20th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
