JASON CHRISTOPHER SCOTT CHESTERTON, IN Jason Christopher Scott, 35, of Chesterton passed away Saturday December 1, 2012. On March 2, 1977 he was born in Valparaiso IN. He is survived by his wife, Jammie Bonner Scott of Chesterton; son, Gavin Scott of Chesterton; daughter, Kaili Burton of Chesterton; father, Jerry L. (Loretta) Scott of Chesterton; brothers: David (Hayley) Scott of Chesterton and Conor Scott of Chesterton; sisters: Megan Young of Hobart, Carrie Samila of Laporte, and Erika Moy of New Port Beach, CA. Also surviving are his grandparents: David and JoAnn Hokanson of Porter, George and Mary Lou Moy of Chesterton, and Monita Williams of Chesterton; and biological father, George Moy of Chesterton. Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Trudy Lynn Hokanson Scott; his grandfather, Joseph Williams, and ex-wife, Tracy Scott. Jason was a steel worker for Mittal Steel in the coke battery and was a member of the United States Steel Workers Union 6787. He was an avid fisherman and he loved to hunt. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd St., Chesterton IN with Pastor G. Thomas Jones officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Gavin Scott College Fund.
