Janie Louise Cabler Lee PENSACOLA - Janie Louise Cabler "Me Me" Lee, 72, died Tuesday, July 12, 2006. The service will be at 10 a.m. CDT today at Gateway Church of Christ. Waters & Hibbert Funeral Home (850-432-6534) is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Take Stock in Children Scholarship Program.Make checks payable to the Foundation for Excellence, 30 E. Texar Drive, Pensacola, FL 32503, or call (850) 469-5354. Pallbearers will be Matt Bell, Frank Buchanan, Billy Collins, George Haber, Cody Sanderson, Dusty Sanderson, Frank Thomann and Burl Wise. She has gone to join her Heavenly Father. She was born Sept.5, 1933, in Tallahassee. Her parents were John Wiley and Ludie Cabler. She graduated from Leon High School. She moved to Pensacola in 1958, after marrying Earl V. Lee. She was a member of Gateway Church of Christ. Janie was one of 11 children, six boys and five girls. She worked for doctors Douglas, Braden, Butts and McMahn and the West Pensacola Bank, Scenic Heights Elementary and O.J. Semmes Elementary schools, in administration.After her retirement she had been active in the community. She served as a mentor to five students in the Take Stock in Children scholarship program and was nominated as a state of Florida Volunteer of the Year. She never met a stranger and was well-known for her generosity and love for others. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Earl V. Lee; a daughter, Janet Louise Sanderson (and John); and a son, David Earl Lee (and Missy).Also surviving are her grandchildren, her pride and joy, Ashlee Sanderson, Brittany Ford (and Clay), Cody Sanderson, Dusty Sanderson, Lathan Lee and Amanda Lee; two great-grandchildren, Bryce and Braden; a brother, Cecil Cabler (and Hazel) of Jacksonville; a sister, Sue Forsythe (and Al) of Grand Island; and many other relatives and close friends.
