Janice Marie Smith - GUYTON - Janice Marie Smith, 61 passed away Saturday, October 12, 2013 , at her residence. Mrs. Smith was born in Chatham Co., but lived in Guyton for a number of years. She was an office clerk and attended Pine Street Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith is precedded in death by her son, Charlie Smith. Survivors include: her husband, Weldon Bud Smith Sr. of Guyton; her mother, Charlotte Ash of Springfield; four sons, Joe Johnson of Statesboro, Weldon Smith Jr. of Guyton, Jason Smith of Bloomingdale and Jeremy Smith of Guyton; one brother, Marvin Smith Jr. of Clyo; three sisters, Charlene Hughes of Springfield, Cheryl Driggers of Sneads Ferry, NC and Dianne Joslin of Jeffersonville, IN; twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, October 14, 2013 from 6 -8 p.m. at Riggs Funeral Home.
