She was born to Lelah and Burney Flanigan (deceased) on July 27, 1943. Janice was also preceded in death by brothers Darrel and Wallace and sister Dorothy Persell. She is survived by husband Kenneth Johnson, daughter Lisa Bentley, grandson Justin Donaldson and wife Kim and great granddaughter Isabella Donaldson. Surviving extended family includes twin sister Joyce Kemper, sister Lorene and husband Jim Johnson, and sister Leona Straddeck along with eighteen nieces and nephews. Janice and her twin sister were born at the corner of Walnut Lawn and Cox road and Janice has resided in the Republic and Springfield area though out her life and was employed at MSU for 26 years before retiring. A memorial service will be held at Greenlawn North on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 3:00 PM with burial to follow service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Oxford Hospice and can be left at the funeral home.
