BRICK, N.J. -- Janet M. (Grondin) Belanger, age 86, of Brick, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2010, at Claremont Care Center in Point Pleasant. Born and raised in Maine, she moved to Brick in 1951.Mrs. Belanger worked as a buyer for the federal government for military hospitals in both Orlando, Fla., and Fort Monmouth, retiring 25 years ago. She was a parishioner of Epiphany Church, Brick. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella in Maine and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW in Brick.She was predeceased by her husband, Francis, in 1985.Surviving are four sons, Arthur and his wife, Donna, of Sacramento, Calif., Raymond and his wife, Karen, of Toms River, James and his wife Michelle of Waretown, and Michael and his wife, Carol, of Toms River; three daughters, Alice Belanger of Toms River, Lynne Sharky and her husband, Dan, of Point Pleasant and Rose Wary and her husband, Dave, of Point Pleasant; 13 grandchildren, Alex, Lisa, Brian, Jennifer, Jason, Eric, Shaun, Melinda, Rob, Andrew, Ryan, Zachary and Jake; and 11 great-grandchildren.Visiting hours are Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Highway 88, Brick. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Epiphany Church, Brick. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Belanger's name can be made to Parkinson's research.
