HARRIS Janet Lynn Harris, 49, longtime resident of Jacksonville and the beaches, passed away suddenly on September 4, 2005 at home with her husband and best friend, Fred Harris by her side. Janet was a retired Navy veteran and a Gulf War veteran. She was named sailor of the year while stationed with Comfairwestpac. A natural giver, she was a friend to all. Her adoring daughters, AKA Mimi's pretty angels, Katie Ann Warde and Haley Nicole Egan, her mother, Anna Cooper, her sister, Diana Nichols, her brother, Jerry Williams and the father of her children, Thomas J. Egan survive her. Numerous other relatives and friends mourn her unexpected loss. She will be remembered as a very loving and caring mother and friend. A private ceremony for the family will be held at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, Jacksonville Beach. A future memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
