JANET A. CLARK VALPARAISO, IN Janet A. Clark, 86, of Valparaiso, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013. She was born May 4, 1927 in Hebron to Harry and Thelma (Williams) Schroeder. On June 14, 1950 in Crown Point, she married Joseph “Bill” Clark who passed away March 22, 2001. Janet is survived by her sons: Vernon (Mary) Clark of Mishawaka, IN and Larry Clark of Valparaiso; two step grandchildren: Rick and Jennifer; four step great grandchildren; her sisters: Ruth Gonlag of Eau Claire, WI and Kay (Harry) Baum of Linneaus, MO; and her brothers: Paul (Sharon) Schroeder of Koontz Lake, IN and Dick (Jean) Schroeder of Wanatah, IN. In addition to her husband, Janet was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Harold and Robert; and step-mother Kathryn (Peeler) Schroeder. Janet was a 1946 Boone Grove High School graduate. She was a member of the American Legion Post #94 and V.F.W. Post #988 Ladies Auxiliaries, Eagles Lodge #2517 and the Moose Lodge #437 Ladies Auxiliaries, and the Order of the Eastern Star. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 9, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Bartholomew Funeral Home in Valparaiso. Pastor Mike Eddy will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
