Jane Wright (nee Meekins) September 8, 1917 May 13, 2005 Jane Wright passed away peacefully at Porteous Lodge with her son, Bob at her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Alice (Vic) Souliere, Bob (Shirley) Wright, Roger Wright; and her daughter-inlaw, Doris Wright; her grandchildren, Sharri and Jamie, Terry (Jen) and Debra-Jane and Scott. She was predeceased by her son, James Patterson Wright and her husband, James Wright; as well as her brothers, Owen and Wylie Meekins; and her sisters, Betty Fox and Nettie Eby. Mom was born in Findlater, SK on September 8, 1917. At the age of six she lost her mother and was raised largely by her older siblings with whom she remained close all her life. As a young woman of 18, she went to work for Dr. McGregor in Sheridan, MB, where she met her husband of 66 years, Jim Wright. They raised their family of four on the farm near Porcupine Plains and in Saskatoon and Chilliwack, BC. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at Park Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff at Cosmopolitan Villa for their kind and compassionate care of our mother.
