Jane-Golden Miller, born in 1930, spouse of Max Miller, mother of Julia, Knoxville, Tenn, Charles Max Miller, Cornelia, Christopher Mark and Jasper, died on October 1, 2007 at 77 years old.
Jane Golden Miller, age 77, of Cornelia died Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at the residence of her son. Mrs. Miller was born on June 22, 1930, in Habersham County to the late J.C. and Florence Smith Golden. She was a graduate of Piedmont College and was homemaker and former school teacher at Baldwin Elementary School. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Cornelia United Methodist Church. There she was a charter member of the Wesley Bible Sunday school class and was the first woman to be chairman of the Administrative Board of the church. Mrs. Miller was the former Vice President of the Garden Club of Georgia and was a Master Flower Show Judge all over the Southeast and in Peru. Survivors include her husband, Max Miller, Cornelia; her daughter, Julia Miller, Knoxville, Tenn.; her sons, Charles Max Miller III, Cornelia and Christopher Mark Miller, Jasper; her sister, Lottie Adams, Cornelia; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, from the Cornelia United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Green officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
