ALBANY Jane F. Chartier, 83, of Albany, died Tuesday, August 26, 2003 at Guilderland Center Nursing Home after a long illness. She was born and educated in Albany and was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Jane Parry Barry. Jane had worked for many years as a secretary at Sterling Winthrop Laboratory in Rensselaer. She is the beloved wife of 49 years to Edwin (Tod) Chartier. Jane is the beloved mother of Cindy Anne Esterby and her husband Bud of Latham. She is the cherished grandmother of Jared and April Esterby; aunt of Wayne and Todd Griffith. Jane's family would like to offer a special thanks to the wonderful staff at Guilderland Center Nursing Home and Marylyn Praga and Margaret Schroll for their loving kindness and support. Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10:00 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Albany. Calling hours will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Interment will be in Memory's Garden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 475 State Street, Albany, NY 12203 or to the charity of one's choice.
