Agrico PhosphateFORT MEADE -- Mr. James Williams of Fort Meade died of heart failure Aug. 14, 2003, at Bartow Memorial Hospital. He was 85.Born in Marianna on Dec. 17, 1917, he came to Fort Meade from there 46 years ago. He was an operator for Agrico Phosphate. He was Baptist.Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Irene Will-iams; daughters, Annette Williams and Katy Moore, both of Fort Meade, Jacquelin Stinnette, Melbourne, Tracy Len Williams, St. Petersburg, Karen Simmons, Winter Haven; sons, Rudolph Bryant, Mulberry, Michael McMillan, Orlando, John Craig Williams, Tampa, James Williams Jr., Lakeland; sister, Sally Mae Thompson, Ocala; brother, Elmond Williams, Youngstown, Ohio; 40 grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Williams Funeral Home, Bartow. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul AME Church in Fort Meade.
