LEE _ James William passed away peacefully on July 26th, 2006 in North Vancouver, where he was born on January 16th, 1924 to Hubert E. Lee and Agnes 'Nan' Lee (nee Stevenson). He leaves beloved wife Marjorie (Tiny); daughters Susan Smith (Geoffrey) and Margaret Sparkman (Doug) in the USA, and Wendy Lee in Jamaica; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many other relations. Jim Lee obtained a Doctorate in Geology from Stanford University in 1951 after receiving his Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of British Columbia. He lived and worked in Jamaica from 1951 to 1986 and dedicated much of his life to the study of Jamaican archaeology. Jim had numerous interests and was an active member of civic, academic and professional associations throughout his life. Jim was devoted to his family and constantly in touch with family, friends and colleagues around the world. He will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Martin's Church, 195 E. Windsor Rd., North Vancouver at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8th, 2006.
