James W. Weeks, Sr. - MIDWAY - James W. Weeks, Sr., age 91 passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at his residence. James was born in Millen, GA and lived for many years in Savannah before moving to Midway. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in World War II aboard the Queen Mary. James retired after many years of service with the Borden Company. He attended Fleming Baptist Church. He was a very successful vegetable gardener and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. James is survived by his wife of 63 years, Grace Weeks of Midway; sons, James W. Weeks, Jr. (Angela) of Savannah, and Jerry Michael Weeks (Jeri Ann) of Savannah; sisters, Miriam Dickey of Millen and Barbara Burchett of Statesboro; his grandchildren, Corey Weeks, Jaime Weeks, and Jordan Weeks; great-grandchildren, Mallory, Sydney, Savannah, Lincoln, and Wyatt; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation: 5:00 pm to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the Richmond Hill Funeral Home. Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 23, 2013 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home with Rev.
