Savard, James W. Tupper Lake, NY: Age 75, passed away on April 17, 2010. Jim was born on September 29, 1934, in Tupper Lake, NY. A proud Marine (1953-1956), he earned his Masters in Education from SUNY Brockport and taught eighth grade Social Studies for 26 years, until his retirement in 1989. Survived by is wife, Suzanne (LaPlante), and four children: Shelly (Don) Roberts, Kerry (Vicki - predeceased) Savard, Tracy (Michelle) Savard, and Kim (Jason) Condon, and nine beloved grandchildren: Christopher, Katie, Mackenzie, Dylan (Roberts), Kristin, Jakob (Savard), Talia, Nolan, and Kieran (Condon). Of all his pursuits, Jim loved life best of all. He understood the importance of living for the moment and reveled in the countless connections he made with friends and family. Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 22nd at Fowler Funeral Home in Brockport between the hours of 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. The celebration of his life will be held on Friday, April 23rd at 11 a.m. at the Newman Catholic Center at SUNY Brockport.
