Obituary of James-Thomas Anderson


ANDERSON James Thomas Anderson, 1st Sgt, U.S.M.C. Retd., passed away December 18, 2007. He was born October 17, 1931 in McRae, GA, the son of William R. Anderson and Winnie Cadwell Anderson. Mr. Anderson served his country in the Marine Corps and retired following 22 years of distinguished and decorated service. A proud and loving family man, he enjoyed spending family time, fishing, and working around his home. He was a member of 103rd St. Baptist Church, the V.F.W., and the American Legion. Surviving are his loving wife of 44 years, Helen Anderson; his daughter Ginger Randolph (Garry); grandsons Thomas Barr (Dana) and Ryan Smith (Mandy); great granddaughter Ashley Jean Barr; his sister Robbie Anderson Norsworthy, Perry, GA, and brother Terrell Anderson, Jacksonville, FL; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers Jack and Bill Anderson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 21, 2007 in the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park with Rev. Kenneth Strickland officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Prayer at Jacksonville Memory Gardens with full military honors conferred. Family members and friends will gather on Thursday evening (TONIGHT) from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com
