WILLIAMS James R. “ Jim” Williams, 55, of St. Augustine died February 16, 2002 at his home. A native of St. Augustine, he served in the United States Army 101st Airborne Division as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam, and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after twenty-two years of service. Memorial funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at Memorial Presbyterian Church in St. Augustine, with Rev. Dr. John Hunter, pastor officiating. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Susan Williams; his mother, Vivian Williams; one daughter, Lindsay A. Sparrow, all of St. Augustine; three sons, James A. Williams of Richmond, Kentucky, Joseph P. Williams of San Diego, California and Jeremy M. Williams of Huntington Beach, California; two sisters, Mrs. Bill (Ginny) Craig and Jo Williams, both of St. Augustine; and one grandson, Paxton Stewart Williams of Richmond.
