Funeral Mass for James R. Montgomery, 60, Sugar House Drive, Port Orange, who passed away Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, at Halifax Hospital, Port Orange, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 6, in the Epiphany Catholic Church, Port Orange, with the Rev. Paul T. Kamide as celebrant. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, January 5. Mr. Montgomery was born in Columbus, Ohio and had lived here since 2001, coming from Milwaukee, Wis. He retired after 30 years as a sales executive for Federal Express, Milwaukee, and he was a U. S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. After retirement, he was a toll taker at the beach for the past three years. He enjoyed fishing and reading. Mr. Montgomery is survived by his wife of 36 years, Carolyn; two sons, Mark, Port Orange, and Michael, Milwaukee; daughter, Ann Lemcke, Milwaukee; his mother, Mildred Montgomery, Port Orange; brother, Dennis, Ormond Beach; sister, Arlene Dawson, Port Orange; five grandchildren, Gabrielle, Samantha, Kristina, Michael and Matthew; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the direction of Cardwell & Maloney Funeral Home, 3571 Ridgewood Avenue, Port Orange. Telephone 767-0120.
