James-Paul Williams, father of James, Seattle, Trent, Windermere, Hillary, Palo and Sunny, died. Please consult the obituary here:
WILLIAMS, JAMES PAUL, of Windermere, made his transition on May 27 from complications of diabetes. After speaking to his children and in the arms of his loving wife, he closed his eyes and went to sleep. Born 12/28/38, the baby of seven kids, in Paintsville, KY, to Vaughan Stephen and Nova Jayne Williams, he grew up working in the family business, The Williams Wholesale Grocery, delivering to retail groceries, large and small, all over the mountains of coal-mining, Eastern Kentucky. Following graduation from Stetson University where he was President of Delta Sigma Phi, he practiced public accounting for 41 years and had his own firm, Williams & Co, CPAS, in Winter Park. A person of great skill and integrity, he was able to create unique ways to help his clients save on their taxes and enjoyed negotiating with the IRS when needed to reduce settlements. Jim was known by all as a fun-loving man with a quick, dry humor and a great belly laugh-able to be heard several doors away. He gave of his time and talents to the Jaycees, PESO, The FSO, Boys & Girls' Clubs & Coeur de Coeur of the American Heart Assoc. Jim served six years as the Company Clerk in the Army Reserves, Orlando Unit, commanded by Col Dave Hanlon. He leaves his soulmate, Cheryl Mason Hickman of Windermere; daughters Sunny Lynn, Palo Alto and Hillary Jayne, Windermere; sons, Trent Stephen, Seattle, and James Buckner (Laura) of Orlando. Also sister, Kathleen Nickell, Longwood, Dr. Gerald Williams, Ormond Beach and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to a Life Celebration for Jim at 4PM on June 3 and can contact the family for more details. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Bloom 'n Grow Garden Society, POB 706, Oakland, 34760, for inclusion in the Path of Life at Chapin Station on the West Orange Trail. Also, the Heart, Kidney, or Diabetes Associations.
