MONTGOMERY, James Peter (Jimmy)December 26, 1934 - February 13, 2015It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jimmy, dearly beloved husband of Dorothy Beale. Loving father of Gail (Robert Kemp), Sandy, Wayne (Nancy Tinkler), Lisa (late Rene Lalonde), Jimmy (Emily Pixley), fourteen cherished grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Doreen, brother-in-law Richard, many nephews, nieces, other relatives and will be dearly missed by all. Jimmy enjoyed and played many sports, football (Shamcats), basketball and boxing. He represented Canada in the 1956 Olympics in boxing. Jimmy will be missed by his many colleagues at Shell Oil where he worked for 39 years. Jimmy will be remembered especially for his sense of humour and numerous jokes. Jimmy and Dorothy travelled many miles to Bangor, Maine where he met some wonderful friends. After retiring, he moved to Rawdon where he took up golf, which he enjoyed for many years. He also loved animals, especially his beloved dog Monty. Visitation will be held from the White and Sons funeral home, 3555 Metcalfe Street (corner of 3rd Avenue), Rawdon QC on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at Christ Anglican Church (corner of 3rd Avenue ), Rawdon on Wednesday at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jimmy's memory for his beloved grandchildren, whose father recently passed away, for their college funds. Donations may be made in care of Dorothy Montgomery via White and Sons Funeral Home, 3555 Metcalfe Street, which will be passed along to the grandkids for college.
