James Michael Grimes, 63, Bradenton, died Nov. 7, 2006. He was born March 17, 1943, in Springfield, Ohio, and came to Braden ton in 1974 from London, Ohio. He was a teacher and coach at Bayshore High School for 32 years and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Manasota Elks Lodge 2734, American Legion Kirby Stewart Post 24 and Saints Peter and Paul the Apostles Catholic Church. Survivors include daughters Elizabeth of Bradenton and Laura Wade and Bonnie Wade of Miami; sons Jeffrey of Bradenton and Jarvis Wade of Miami; and brothers John of Tipp City, Ohio, and Mark of Bradenton. No visitation is planned. An Elks memorial service with military honors by American Legion Kirby Stewart Port 24 will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bradenton Elks Lodge 1511. Burial will be in Bay Pines National Cemetery. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes, 26th Street Chapel, handled arrangements.
