James Marvin Williams, 65, Bradenton, died July 30, 2005. He was born Aug. 31, 1939, in Palmetto and was a lifelong resident. He was a farmer at Williams & Son Farm. He was a member of the American Legion Oneco Post and Church of Christ. He served in the Navy. Survivors include his former wife, Una of Bradenton; a daughter, Paula Douthett of Bradenton; a son, James H. of Ona; sisters Marlene McDonald and Louise McDonald, both of Myakka City, Lucille Benjamin of Palmetto, Luanne Wise of Riverview, Diane Cannon of Parrish and Carolyn King of Brandon; brothers Ray of Missouri, Ralph and Robert, both of Bradenton, and Jerome of Pennsylvania; and five grandchildren. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Manatee Avenue Chapel. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial with military honors by the American Legion Oneco Post will be at Skyway Memorial Gardens in Palmetto.
