James-Marvin Lee, born in 1948, spouse of Betty-Lou-Hanner Williams, son of James and Ruby-Violet-Vaughn, father of Timothy Wayne and Terri Denise, died on November 4, 2007 at 59 years old.

Obituary of James-Marvin Lee


James Marvin "Jim'" Lee, 59, Brownstown, passed away Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, at his home after a short battle with cancer. Mr. Lee was of the Christian faith, a devoted husband and loving father and a retired construction worker and carpenter. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Seymour. Born Jan. 12, 1948, in Scottsburg, he was a son of James Edward and Ruby Violet Vaughn Lee. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives. On May 23, 1993, in Gatlinburg, Tenn., he married Betty Lou Hanner Williams, who survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Terri Denise (Kenny) Smith; a son, Timothy Wayne (Angie) Lee; a stepdaughter, Penny (Danny) Parrigin; two stepsons, Kenneith (Lisa) Williams and Brad Williams; grandmother, Polly Whittymore; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Edward Morris Lee and Doyle Michael (Judy) Lee; a sister, Teresa Ann Lee (Martin) Lowe; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded death by a nephew, Brandon Matthew Lee, and niece, Vivian Leigh Machen. The Rev. Doug Pogue will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Freetown Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
