DAVIS James Marcellus Davis, Jr., 57, passed away on Wednesday Aug. 28, 2002 in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Gville, FL. He is survived by 5 children: James (Tabitha), Timothy (Dianna), Rodney (Brenda), Lovetta (Toney) & Lourita Davis; 9 grandchildren: Travis, Tony, Jr., Quintin, Marcus, Margina, Ruwanda, Gabrielle, Jamila and one whom proceeded him in death Tanzania. A loving and devoted mother: Mrs. Jimmie L. Davis; two brothers: The Honorable Henry (Linda) Davis and Mr. Charles (Sheila) Davis, 2 sisters; Mrs. Bettye (Rev. James) Rouse & Ms. Emileene Davis, 1 aunt: Mrs. Annie M. Halaman; a special friend, Mr. Acie Brown; a special nephew: Wilbert L. McClenndon; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Funeral services will be held 11 am Sat. Aug. 31, at the Mt. Zion AME Church, St. Augustine Rd. The cortege will assemble 10 am Sat. at 3817 St. Augustine Rd. Visitation of family and friends will be held Friday (Today) from 5-8pm in the chapel & 9am Sat. until the time of service in church. Interment in the St. Nicholas Cemetery.
