James M. Morrison, a 36 year resident of Pearl River, NY died Monday, January 19, 2004 at his home. He was 75. Mr. Morrison worked as a plumber/pipe fitter for Pfizer Inc. in Brooklyn, NY for 35 years before retiring in 1985. Mr. Morrison was born to James and Nora Flynn Morrison on August 14, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY. Mr. Morrison served in the United States Army from 1950-1952 attaining the rank of Master Sergeant. He served in the Korean Conflict. Locally, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Pearl River. Mr. Morrison will be remembered for his friendly demeanor and his bright smile. He is survived by his children Claire Tarantino of New Rochelle, NY, James 2nd of Chestnut Ridge, NY, Kathleen Veralli of Nyack, NY and Daniel of Pearl River and grandsons Christopher and Michael. He is predeceased by his wife Catherine and his son Patrick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am Friday, January 23, 2004 at St. Margaret's R.C. Church, Pearl River. Burial will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Nanuet. Visiting will be Wednesday and Thursday 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc.
