James G. Lee 1947-2010 PITTSFIELD James Gary Lee, 62, of 31 Bossidy Drive, Pittsfield, died Monday, May 24, at his home.Born in Pottsdam Village, N.Y., on Jan. 13, 1947, the son of Robert S. and Florence T. LeGrys Lee, he was educated at Pleasant Valley School and at Red Brick School, both in Bennington, Vt.From 1995 until taking ill in March, Mr. Lee was employed by Goodwill Industries on Merrill Road in Pittsfield, where he was a sorter and stock clerk.Mr. Lee was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. He was a New York Yankees fan who also enjoyed bowling, walking, and swimming, as well as participating in the Special Olympics.Mr. Lee leaves a brother, Richard W. Lee and his wife, Lynne T., of Bellevue, Neb.; a niece, Denise M. Lee; a nephew, Eric S. Lee; and two grandnephews; as well as his former sister-in-law, Claudia C. Lee.James will also be missed by his roommates, James Scutt and Edward MacLean.The family wishes to extend special a thank you to all of James' caregivers including, Mary Rose Smith, Christine Buffi, John Cunningham, Paul Green, Chris Evans, Karen Wells, Taryn Mancivalano, Erin Jost, Lynn Gerhardt, and Connie Hubble.FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for James Gary Lee will be Wednesday, May 26, at 10 a.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Jennifer Gregg, Associate Rector of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington, Vt. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home.
