Funeral service for James Lee, Port Orange, who died Monday, Sept. 5, 2005, at Halifax Convalescent Center, will be 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at Grace Baptist Church, 1703 Taylor Road, Port Orange. Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today (Thursday) at Lohman Funeral Home, Daytona Chapel, 1425 Bellevue Ave., Daytona Beach. Mr. Lee was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific campaigns. He retired from Eastman Kodak Company, Rochester, N.Y., in 1982. He was an active, devoted member of Grace Baptist Church. James will be remembered by family and friends as a lifelong bluegrass musician. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Maidene, and daughter, Patricia Huck. Survivors include his son, Richard Lee, Naperville, Ill.; daughter, Belva Collins, Blacksburgh, Va.; stepson, Larry Rickard, Dumfries, Va.; daughters-in-law, Bonnie Lee and Karen Rickard; son-in-law, Eldridge Collins; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to a local chapter of Disabled American Veterans or Humane Society.
