A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at New Zion Primitive Baptist Church, Sarasota, Burial will be private. Survivors include daughters Laportia King of Bradenton, and Janardra Blake of Sarasota; a son, James Lee King, of Bradenton; sisters Aileen Smith, Dorothy Smith and Anna, all of Sarasota; and a brother, Edward, of Sarasota.
