DAVIS, James James Phillip Davis, affectionately know by some as Jim Dawg, J. D., and Pop, age 67, of Stone Mountain (Gwinnett County), GA., died Monday evening, July 7, 2014. His memorial service will be Friday, July 11, 2014, at 12 noon, with the family receiving friends from 11 am until hour of service in the Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel. Rev. Ron Lambros will officiate. A 20 year salesman for AT&T, he was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church in Tucker and an avid Georgia football fan. He loved his family, fishing, traveling worldwide and trips to the beach. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran and a war history buff and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Joan Smith Davis of Stone Mountain, his daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Louis Carroll of Carrollton, son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Jamie Davis of Chamblee, grandson, Dylan Stephens of Stone Mountain, brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Barbara Farmer of Acworth and sister-in-law, Jean Smith of Conyers.
