James J. Morris, of Lower Makefield Township, PA, died on Thursday February 12, 2015 at his home, with his wife and loving daughter, Donna by his side. He was 77.Born in Trenton, NJ, son of the late Thomas and Jennie Sciandra Morris, he has been a Lower Makefield resident of the past 41 years.Soon after being honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force, he went to work for the Pennsylvania Railroad as a conductor and retired from Amtrak.Jim took pride in his home and neighborhood. He enjoyed home projects, gardening and cooking. Every Christmas season he played Santa Claus for friends and neighbors and was a regular blood donor to the American Red Cross.Jim will be remembered for his generous spirit, giving to and helping those who were not so fortunate and his love of children.He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Markley Morris; two sons, James J. Morris, Jr. of Yardley, PA, and Daniel T. Morris of Levittown, PA; his daughter, Donna M. Morris of Yardley, PA; three grandchildren, Daniel, Christopher, and Robert Morris; twin brother, Frank Morris of Delran, NJ; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Jack Mycock of Roanoke,, VA; brothers-in-law Edward and Robert Markley; sisters-in-law, Carole and Frances Markley; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; many friends, and special friends, Anna, Lubos, Martyna, and Tony and Linda Calderone.A Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 21, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1985 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ.
