LEOMINSTER -- James J. Kelly, 74, of 149 Chapman Place, died Wednesday afternoon, May 21, in Nashoba Valley Medical Center, Ayer. Mr. Kelly was born in Newton on March 16, 1929, the son of James P. and Mary T. (Hayes) Kelly and had lived in Leominster for the past 50 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. Mr. Kelly had worked at the former Plastic Diversified Services in Leominster for over 10 years before retiring several years ago. Prior to that he had been the general manager at the former Kell Plastics in Leominster. He was a member of St. Anna’s Church. He enjoyed working in his yard and garden. Mr. Kelly is survived by two sons, James J. Kelly Jr. and Michael A. Kelly, both of Leominster; three daughters, Rosanne M. Hoff of Clarksville, Tenn., and Mary L. Richards and Peggy H. McCrillis, both of Leominster; a sister, Dorothy M. Kron of Leominster; 12 grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. His wife, Mary F. (DelleChiaie) Kelly died in 1993. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Anna’s Church, 194 Lancaster St., Leominster. Burial will be in St. Leo’s Cemetery, Leominster.
