Obituary of James J. Fallon


James J. Fallon QUINCY James J. Fallon of Quincy, July 10, 2009. The beloved husband of the late Muriel (Nighan) Fallon. Loving father of James J. "Jim" Fallon, Jr. and his wife Pat of Melrose, Janet Andrews and her husband Bob of Norfolk, Lorraine Maguire and her husband John of Houston, TX, Louise Gonsalves and her husband Dennis of Corpus Christi, TX, Judy Ronning and her husband Mike of Sugarland, TX and the late Mark Fallon. Brother of the late Evelyn Fallon. Jim is also the proud grandpa of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he adored. A lifelong Quincy resident, Jim served in the United States Army during W.W.II and was honored the Purple Heart. He worked as a painter for the MBTA for many years. Jim was a proud lifetime member and past Commander of the Robert I. Nickerson Post in Squantum as well as the DAV Post, Quincy Elks and the VFW post. He enjoyed traveling, sailing and fishing, but his true passion was golf. Jim will be remembered as a friendly likeable man. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Thursday at 9:15. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Wednesday, 4-8 p.m. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Mr. Fallon may be made to Charity of Your Choice.
