LEE, James Ivor We celebrate the life of James Ivor Lee whose strength, sense of humour, intelligence and devotion to his family took him around the world and deep into the hearts of his family and friends. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre in the arms of his loving family at the age of 84. Jim was predeceased by his loving wife of 51 years, Edith (nee McGivern) August 26, 1995 and leaves behind his current beloved wife of 10 years, Betty Forsythe/Lee. He was the loving father of Sharon (David Fabro) of Picton, Catherine, James (Debra) and Kevin (Carol) of Ottawa. Jim was the devoted grandfather of Christopher (Ellen), Colin (Elaine), Carly (Martin), Aaron (Melody), David (Shanelle), Matthew, Samuel and Thomas and he will also be deeply missed by his 7 great grandchildren. He is survived by his brother Robert (Elizabeth) of Etobicoke and his sister Yvonne (Russell Kelk) of Grimsby. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. J. Sinclair and the staff of the Ottawa Civic Hospital as well as the staff of the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre who provided such care and expertise during his decline. Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Carleton Memorial United Church, 740 Melfa Crescent on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow in the Church Hall.
