DAVIS James Hartwell Davis, 89, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2011. He was born May 17, 1921 in Mason, Michigan to the late Joy & Ruth Davis. James served in the United States Navy during WW II, had lived in Jacksonville since 1989 and was a member of New Berlin Road Church. He was always sending cards/notes of encouragement and inspiration. In his words, 'It's been a wonderful life! And the best is yet to come!' (Rev. 21) He is survived by his son, Jon Davis (Karen) of Jacksonville; daughter, Lyn White (Jeff) of Port Orange, FL; brother, Jack Davis; sister, Mary Jeanette Smith (Harlan), both of Mason, MI; grandchildren, Nicole Davis and Allison White; numerous other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 11 at 7pm at New Berlin Road Church, 2351 New Berlin Road, with Pastor Matthew Meadows officiating.
