James Halbert Davis, age 69, of Cullman, Ala., passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at Cullman Regional Hospital after a brief illness.He was a native of Lauderdale County, Ala. He was a maintenance man for Lexington Fab. He was a member of Corum's Baptist Chapel Church.Funeral services will be at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Friday, March 24, 2006, at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Barnett Cemetery. Barton Samson will be officiating.Visitation was 5-8 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2006, at Loretto Memorial Chapel.Survivors are his wife, Laura Davis, of Cullman, Ala.; first wife of 32 years, Patsy Marie Lovell Shadrick, of Anderson, Ala.; four sons, James Davis, of Central, Ala., Jeff Davis, of Five Points, Tenn., Gary Davis, of Rogersville, Ala., Jamie Davis, of Lexington, Ala.; three daughters, Angel Davis, of Rogersville, Ala., Crystal Davis, of Anderson, Ala., Elizabeth Davis, of Cullman, Ala.; three brothers, J.C. Davis, of Lexington, Ala., Thomas Davis, of Tuscumbia, Ala., Bennie Joe Davis, of Indiana; two sisters, Ruby Nell Rainey, of Rogersville, Ala., Sarah Thigpen, of Lexington, Ala.; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; countless friends and loved ones.
