TUSCALOOSA James "Mike" Goodwin, age 48, of Tuscaloosa, died March 27, 2011, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South with Edwin King and Ralph Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William A. Goodwin, Sr., Lela Musson, Roy Mills, and Beulah Mills.Survivors include his parents, William A. Goodwin, Jr. and Carolyn Mills Goodwin.He was a loving son and a good-hearted person. He worked for the University of Alabama for five years and really loved and enjoyed his job. Mike was a true Alabama football fan. He will be deeply missed by his mother and father; aunts, uncles and cousins; Billie Yawn; his girlfriend, Diana Holcomb; and his dog, Bud.Pallbearers will be Jack Duncan, Jeffery Lancaster, Danny Carroll, Dave Burroughs, Donald Terry, Gordon Frost, and Andy Howard.Honorary pallbearers are TSICU, oncology unit of DCH Regional Medical Center and DCH Cancer Center, and the University of Alabama maintenance department.
