JAMES REESE FOY CROWN POINT, IN James Reese Foy, age 58, won his battle with cancer on Monday, January 21, 2008. James was born on January 7, 1950 in Tarentum, PA to the late Curtis and Anna (Camp) Foy. He was married on April 9, 1996 to Mary LaFond. Mary resides in Crown Point. He is also survived by his daughter, Jamie (Matt) Kolodziej of Highland, IN; step son, Troy (Lisa) Grady of Crown Point, IN; sisters, Patty (John) Lawson of Valparaiso, Peggy (Edward) Spencer of Valparaiso, Susie Holbrook of LaCrosse, IN, and Chrissy (Les) Abraham of Valparaiso; step grandchildren, Troy, Alexa and Patyn; lifelong friend, Carl (Cheryl) Matthews of St. John, IN; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. James was a lifelong area resident and worked as a Craneman for LaSalle Steel. He graduated from Calumet High School class of 1969. When he was younger, James enjoyed playing baseball and tried out for professional baseball. He was an Umpire for USSSA Softball and a Longfellow Little League Coach. James was a member of the Sportsman Club in Crown Point, IN. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and was an avid hunter. James was a fan of the White Sox, IU, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 25, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Shirley Short officiating. Burial at McCool Cemetery, Portage, IN. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2008 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN.
