Obituary of James-F. Roy


James F. Roy, 47, of Manchester, passed away on Saturday (September 10, 2005) at a local health care center after a long illness. Born in Hartford, a son of the late Alexander and Aline (Lizotte) Roy, he had resided in the Greater Hartford area for most of his life. He was formerly employed for several years by Re-Dan Auto Upholstery Co., Newington. James enjoyed fishing and working on antique vehicles. James is survived by two sons, James F. Roy Jr. Syracuse, NY, Jesse J. Roy of Liverpool, NY; five brothers, Clayton Roy of Manchester, Alexander Roy of Hartford, Russell Roy of Rockville, Roger Roy of Manchester, Maynard Roy of Hartford; a sister, Arline Gallegos of Stafford Springs; his former wife, Sara (Fisher) Bombardo of Liverpool, NY; several nieces and nephews. A memorial graveside service will be Wednesday, September 14th at 9:30 a.m. at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield (Section X). There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions in the memory of James may be made to a favorite charity of the donor's choice. The D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford has been entrusted with the arrangements.
