Obituary of James Edward Stafford

James Edward Stafford March 18, 1924 - January 11, 2015 Life Stories Life Timeline Historic Documents Family Tree Schedule Sign Guestbook View Guestbook Life Legacy With profound sadness the family announces the sudden and unexpected passing of James Edward Stafford on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Jim was a butcher by trade, known for his quick wit; colourful language by times and amazing story telling abilities; he had a talent for gardening; enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be remembered for providing for many family and friends over the years and being a strong and caring man who will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him. I was blessed with the honour of calling him, “Dad”. Jim is survived by his only daughter, Janet and son-in-law, Ron; grand kitten Mittens; sister in law, Berndetta; several nieces and nephews; special nephew, Edward who was like a son to him. He was predeceased by his wife, Bertie (the love of his life); parents, Gertrude and Herman; brother, Harvey; sisters, Elberta and infant Nina; special Aunt, Thelma Pieroway. There will be no visitation or service at this time; a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. For those who wish, donations may be made in Jim’s memory to the Fredericton SPCA or the Fredericton Food Bank. Personal condolences may be made through www.yorkfh.com
