James Edward Jordan, age 78, of Sequoia Drive, Oakwood passed away Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. The Rev. James Cambell and the Rev. Charles Grant will officiate. Interment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Mr. Jordan was born Sept. 28, 1931, in Hall County to the late George Jordan and Ella Delong. He is survived by his wife, Edna Kidd Jordan; daughters, Sandra Adams, Geneva Williams (Genny) and Robert; son-in-law, Juanita Wallace, Betty McIntyre and Ted; son-in-law, Brenda Kidd; sons, Lee Kidd; and daughter-in-law, Paula; sister-in-law, Jean Motes and J.W.; sister-in-law, Rosie and Joe Woodall; and 15 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
