Obituary of James-Edward Carter

CARTER James Edward Carter, Jr. (known to many as Smokey) was born on August 23, 1954 in Utica, New York to James Edward Carter, Sr. and Edith Donaldson. In 1974 he married his high school sweetheart, Sandra Morris and together they dedicated their lives to Jehovah and were baptized in 1975. They served loyally together for 31 years. Saturday, November 4, 2006, James fell asleep in death. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; five children: Misty Carter, Jameshia Thrift (Russell), James Edward Carter, III (Amy), Hananiah Carter and Mariah Carter; four grandchildren: Jordan Thrift, Kiera Thrift, Dusty Watson and Kayla Watson; mother, Edith Donaldson, one brother, three sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
