James E. Miller -->James E. Miller, 87, of Englewood, formerly of Milton, Mass., died Sept. 19, 2011. He was born March 5, 1924, in Dorchester, Mass. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Miller worked for 44 years as a construction photographer for the MBTA. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II (Battle of the Bulge) and Korea. Locally, he was a past commander of the VFW Boston Carmens Post 3403, a life member of the Dorchester Yacht Club and a past commander of the American Legion Post in Jamaica Plain. He was the beloved husband of Margaret Peggy Miller; brother of Joseph Miller of Pembroke, Mass., and Pauline Pheeney of Maryland. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Saint Agatha Church, Milton, Saturday, Sept. 24, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave., Milton, Friday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree, Mass.
