WEYMOUTH James E. Casey, a lifelong Weymouth resident, entered into eternal life on Sunday, March 22, 2009 from his home at the age of 83. Mr. Casey worked for the Highway Dept. for the Town of Weymouth for 30 years. Prior to that, He was employed with the U.S. Naval Ammunition Depot in Hingham for 11 years. Mr. Casey was a WWII Army veteran serving in the European Theatre and also with the Army of Occupation of Japan. Jim received a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart for his valor. Jim was a member of the American Legion Post in Houghs Neck and the D.A.V. Post in Weymouth. Beloved husband of Barbara (Riley). Devoted father of Gail E. Dennehy of Dedham, Patricia M. Anderson of Weymouth. James E. III of Marshfield, and Lynne Ann Brunelle of of Woodruff, S.C. Loving grandfather to 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid funeral Home, 100 Washington St., Weymouth Landing, on Wednesday, March 25 at 8:30 a.m. Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. Burial in Saint Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
