MARTINEZ, Ga. - Mr. James M. Davis, 94, husband of 64 years to Alma R. Davis, entered into rest on Monday, July 8, 2013 at Doctors Hospital. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Greg Porterfield officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Mr. Davis was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Mack retired from the US Navy at the Charleston Naval Hospital after more than 20 years of service at the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer. He also retired from the State of North Carolina after serving in several state agencies including Western Carolina Center and Broughton Hospital. In addition to his wife Alma, he is survived by son James M. Davis, Jr., and wife Lou of Aiken, SC, son Stephen A. Davis and wife Debby of Martinez, GA, and daughter Nancy D. Craig of Garden City, SC, five grandchildren; Adam James, Stephen, Leah, Sarah Elizabeth and Lauren. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 825 N. Belair Rd., Evans, GA 30809.
