Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Village Chapel for James David Walker, age 54, of Gadsden, who passed on May 22, 2014. Rev. Jay Stewart will officiate. Burial will be at Clayton Cemetery. Village Chapel Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.James was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Walker; brother, Roy Gene Walker; stepfather, W.E. Bowens.He is survived by his mother, Sarah Bowens; sisters, Judy Cates and Exie (Scott) Kirby; brothers, Glen (Elaine) Walker and Douglas (Julie) Walker; and numerous nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Wayne Cate, Matthew O'Donnell, Benji Tidewell, Douglas Walker, Glen Walker and Stephen Walker.Family will receive friends today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
